See, when I was about three or four years old, I drew ALL over the hallway wall at my grandmother's house. This was back before my mom got remarried and we lived there... but I don't want to go off on a tangent. So, here I am, a little kid, having just decorated the walls of my Nannie's hallway with brightly colored crayons... when I get caught.
Did I draw all over the walls? No! No! Of course not! I'd never do a thing like that. Alright, Shannon, so who did it?
I kid you not, I told them that, "The appleworms did it."
To this day I have never lived that down. "The appleworms" have sort of been the basis for any bout of artistic creativity and inspiration ever since then, because my family will never let me forget it. My mother talked about the appleworms at the rehearsal dinner for my wedding. It's a good story. There's more detail I could go into about it and about why that one childhood memory means so much to me... why it inspired a drawing... etc. etc. but why try to put something like that to words?
All I have to say is: Thanks, Mom. For letting the appleworms run away with me when I was a little kid and for always encouraging my creativity... even if a few walls had to be scrubbed along the way.
It's so pretty! The perspective and the shadings are really good and there's so many small details ^____^ I like the worms xD And it's a really nice story

I think appleworms evolve into apple-flyes at some point xD But I don't know - All I know is, that yours was very convincing to me indeed. I like your worms xD

(And no, it has NOTHING to do with the fact that the young you in the picture looks or reminds me in any way, shape, or form of my own daughter. Nope! Not at all!)
I think it's a really cute piece, with excellent detail and shading, and is very indicative of a creative storytelling through two-dimensional art.
(Of course it doesn't... maybe I should do a Hannah Montana tribute piece for her? Heehee.)
It was fun to do... that's the big thing for me. I'm actually having fun doing art again. For a while there I was pretty down and directionless. Now? Storytelling! Direction! Something constructive to do with that degree I spent six years of my life getting!
