Wow.  I really dropped the ball on that one, didn't I?  I just looked and saw that I started that back in 2008.  It is now 2011... uh... yeah... what happened to that idea?  Oh, that's right.  I had a kid and opened a new business.  Both of which have become immensely time consuming.  Maybe one of these days I'll get back to regular art updates here on DA.  In the mean time, THANK YOU to everyone who has commented and :+fav: my work.

I knew being a parent would take up a lot of time.  I knew it would be a lot of hard work.  But I suppose I really had no true concept of just how much time, or how much work (including 12+ diaper changes a day!) it would be.  I'm not complaining though.  Quite the opposite.  I love it.  I feel like this whole parenting thing is something I was born to do.  Even the evenings when she's cranky are worth every moment.  Overall though, Laurel is a very happy, contented baby.  She really only cries when she's in need of a diaper change or she's hungry.  Or she might cry if she's gassy and has an upset tummy.  She eats, she plays (as much as a two

I'm sure it's not a real big surprise to any one that knows me or has been following me here on Deviant Art that I've been incredibly busy lately.  There are so many preparations to finish making, there have been baby showers to go to, and Lamaze classes to attend... and somewhere in the midst of all of that I've been working on a massively large painting (I've just been calling it a mural because it might as well be!) for the nursery. As of around 9:00 last night I put the finishing touches on the mural.  All that's left now is to get my husband to drag the thing out in the yard and spray a protective top coat over it with Clear Acrylic Sea
